What do these products do?
A residual-current circuit breaker disconnects power when it detects a dangerous leakage; lightning, brief grid fluctuations, moisture or temporary appliance behaviour can still leave critical loads such as refrigerators, alarms, modems, servers or pumps without power until someone intervenes. Sigma SCRC03 and Gewiss GWD0976 ReStart Rd PRO are separate automatic reclosing accessories mounted beside a compatible residual-current circuit breaker; they are not residual-current circuit breakers themselves.
Sigma SCRC03 makes three reclosing attempts after delays of 10, 60 and 300 seconds, then locks without a fourth attempt if the fault remains. Gewiss GWD0976 checks insulation before reclosing, monitors the circuit every two minutes while leakage persists and restores power only when conditions are safe. This helps protect controlled energy continuity in homes, shops, offices, warehouses and remote facilities.
These accessories do not bypass residual-current protection; repeated trips must be investigated, and compatible breaker selection plus mechanical and electrical installation must be completed by a qualified electrician after checking the installation values.
